Interactive Pieces
Olivia Janna completed her MFA from 2010-2014 at the Art Institute of Boston low residency program. The MFA program's mission encouraged individualized concepts, such as The Art of Play. Combining the work with her students and the concept of play and creativity as being a human necessity, Olivia Janna pursued the link between play and creativity. These ideas became the foundation for the body of work she developed and presented over the course of the program. The work included in a 5-minute video compellation capturing elements of play from the summer camp and after school program she directed. She also created Interactiveart Pieces to engage adults and children alike in constructive, deconstructive action, in risky and controlled behaviors—in other words, in play. |
